Google and Microsoft seem to enjoy each other’s company so much so that one is letting the other take its cookies. Remember the new Edge browser? At its core is Google’s Blink and V8 engines. The same ones you would find powering the Chrome browser.

The two companies seem to put aside previous animosities and are building an unbreakable bond as Microsoft continues to integrate more Google products into some of its biggest platforms.

If current reports making the rounds on the internet are anything to go by, the Redmond-based software company is working on full integration of Gmail, Calendar and Google Drive into the web version of the Outlook email client.

Spotted by Twitter User Florian and reported by the Verge, Florian was able to set up his Gmail services with his Outlook account.

The whole process required a few simple steps and in the end, his Outlook.com account had data from his Google Drive, documents from Google Docs, dates from Google Calendar, and inboxes from his Gmail account automatically displayed.

The link seems to be in very early stages of public testing and as The Verge would point out. Twitter user did find some of the features aren’t working the way they are supposed to like switching between accounts refreshes the entire page.

Florian was also only able to add one Gmail account but there is a high chance you could add more when the link becomes widely available.

I live, breath, and dream technology. I've only known myself to push the boundaries on what's possible in my mental scope in relation to technology. And having been a writer for the good part of the past three years (covering varying subjects on the major mobile platforms), No place has ever felt more like home than Chrome OS. And as you may know, Chrome OS is ushering us into a future of the unknown and I'm here to help in the process of easing the way into that future via ItsChromeOS.
