Deal Alert! The Pixel Slate Gets A Massive Price Cut

The Pixel Slate was supposed to set the foundation for Google’s next big hardware adventure and announcing its readiness to build a device powerful enough to rival the Surface line of devices from Microsoft.
Admittingly, the device didn’t create the kind of storm the company would’ve hoped for partly due to the fact that Chrome OS, which powers the device hasn’t really reached the maturity required to take on the already established Windows operating system.
There was the price point too which hinders the device’s wider adoption beyond the enthusiast market but that is about to change as Google is slicing off big bucks from the Pixel Slate’s previous price point to rejuvenate interest in the device.

This offer isn’t exclusive just a single model, the Silicon Valley giant is knocking off as much as $250 on all models –from the m3 to the Core i7– and even adding some extras like either the Keyboard ($199 value) or Brydge G-Type Keyboard ($159.99 value) for free.
The Core m3 Pixel Slate with 8GB RAM and 64GB storage had a previous price of $799 but you can now get it for as low as $549.
Other models like the Core i5 and i7 versions with featuring either 8GB/128GB and 16GB/256GB as RAM and storage configurations are either going for $749 from $999 and $1,349 from $1,599 respectively.

If you were reluctant to buy the Pixel Slate because of what it was going for, this deal should change your stance as the device despite its many flaws, is a great Chrome OS-powered hybrid system.
The price cut could be what the Pixel Slate needs to move more units and stimulate sales in a way that Google might consider releasing an improved sequel.
