Hardware events have become somewhat of a yearly ritual with big companies using them to unveil to the public devices they have been cooking up during the past twelve months.

Both Microsoft and Apple –Arch rivals of Google– have wrapped up what could only be considered as a precursor for a major platform shift as the firms from Cupertino and Redmond both announced plans to venture into the unknown

The mountain view-based company will be holding an event of its own and the date you should reserve for is October 15 where Google will take the wraps off new iteration under its “Made By Google” hardware line.

Expect to see several official revelations like the Pixel 4, Nest hardware and obviously Chromebooks. Already rumored to be making an appearance during the event is the Nest Mini which is said to be a direct follow-up to the 2017 Google Home Mini.

It is expected to ship with a wall mount, an aux port, and overall better sound output as well as Google Assistant.

Next on the listed of expected hardware is the Nest Wi-Fi and it is said to be accompanied by two signal-boosting beacons, support for 802.15.4 Thread at 2.4GHz, with both 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth. The Nest Wi-Fi is expected to launch with three color options so there is definitely going to be something that matches your furniture.

On the rumored Chromebook — which will be our main focus — that is said to be coming to the October 15 event is the Pixelbook 2 aka Pixelbook Go. The Chromebook from Google will definitely not be a Pixel Slate sequel as the search giant slam the brakes on making mediocre tablets and iPad competitors and focusing most of its energy on hardware that is inline with Chrome OS, simple and functional.

Pixelbook Go will have a 13.3-inch 4K display, possibly retain the 2-in-1 form factor and comes with support for the Pixel Pen.

There will surely be more interesting revelations during the event which is expected to start at 10 a.m. ET on Tuesday, October 15 and you can bookmark this article to watch the livestream later.

We will be providing updates during the event and commentary afterward, so keep it locked on ItsChromeOS
