Chromebooks tend to be pretty efficient no matter the hardware they are being run on. This is predominantly due to Chrome OS’s lenient nature on top of Google’s clever implementation of the core functions of its cloud-based operating system.

A functional OS on low-end hardware has allowed Chromebooks to dominate much of the education market and despite the fact that there are Premium variants of the notebook, the most basic function of OS stays the same regardless.

If you are in the market for a device that can handle school work and not cost an arm and a leg, there is currently a deal over at Walmart for the Lenovo 100e.

The device might not be a Pixel Slate or Pixelbook Go but for what it actually is and the current price it is going for, getting the Lenovo 100e should be a no brainer for non-heavy users.

The device comes with about 16GB of eMMc storage which shouldn’t be a deal-breaker considering much of what you keep on the Chromebook can be sync to the cloud.

Furthermore, Google still offers 100GB worth of Cloud storage with Google One for a whole year and some extra goodies. So, there is always a place to hoard your most important files.

The device’s other features include a Mediatek MT8173C Quad-Core Processor and 4GB LP-DDR3 1866MHz RAM.

It supports both the Play Store and Linux Beta out of the box making it a perfect tool to experiment either Android or Linux apps

The Lenovo 100e is currently priced at $109 over at Walmart.
